Hey Beauties,
I know, this post has been long time coming, I am swamped with lectures, studies and work at the moment and it is only now that I found some time to blog.
As some of you may already know, last February I was invited to attend the Catrice Spring Launch and we were given some products to try out.
Face Products
The first three products are:
1) Colour Correcting Primer: I have yet to try this product out. However, as a first impression from swatching it; it has a green colour to cancel out redness, as its name implies, and it also claims that it is oil free. Which is perfect for oily, acne prone skin and also during the Summer we sweat much more, so an oil free primer is perfect for that time.
2) Translucent Powder: At LAST I found an authentic translucent powder. I cannot tell you how many times I purchase a 'translucent' powder, then I open it and I find that it is coloured powder. To all Make up companies: Translucent means transparent and not with colour. Thank you Catrice for this powder, I really like it and I use it everyday to set my foundation. It did not break me out and my skin remains matte all day.
3) Shimmering Bronzer: I used it the first time last week and I was quite impressed. To be honest, I was somewhat sceptical to try it because I thought that my face would result in being all shimmery and sparkly. However, this bronzer has very fine small shimmers that barely show up, which is perfect for me. Also, it is not that dark, it just creates a sun kissed glow which I look for.
Eye Products
Now on to the eye products:
1) Absolute Eye Colour Pallette in the colour 'F'rosen Yoghurt': I have used this pallette several times now. I almost use it every time I go out. It is perfect to create a subtle natural cranberry look and I find that these colours really complete my eyes. Shadows are pigmented and are quite long lasting. Also, it has a combination of matte and shimmery shadows in it which I rarely find in other pallettes.
2) Absolute Bright Highlighting Pallette in the colour 'Candy Warhol': I use this pallette to highlight. It is a great idea to make a pallette with highlighting combinations to match every eye look. The only downside is that the eye shadow's texture is chalky and after a while that I apply it, it is not there any more.
3) Set of Single Lashes: I have not used this yet
4) Glamour Doll Curl & Volume Mascara: I use this mascara everyday, so I tested it out quite well. It claims that, as its name implies, it curls and volumises at the same time. I have not seen that. I found that it lengthens my lashes and curls them slightly but in terms of volume it fell flat. Also, when I take out the wand from the tube, its like there is no filter at the top to take away the access mascara from the wand, so I almost always end up smearing the mascara on my lid.
Lip Products
1) Ultimate Colour Lipstick in the colour 'Red my Lips': I have not tried this out yet, however when I swatched it, the colour is very opaque and creamy. Looking forward to try it out.
2) Infinite Shine Lipgloss in the colour 'Pink Twice': I applied this lip gloss the first time exactly after the event ended, in my car :) Love this lip gloss, vibrant colour, perfect for Spring. Also, has a nice smell and is very long lasting. An additional upside to this is that it is not sticky.
3) Made to Stay Smoothing Lip Polish in the colour 'Megan Fuchsia': I also use this product almost every time I go out. It is long lasting, bright colour and its finish is like a lip tint. After most of the colour is off, your lips are still stained so no need to reapply as much.
Nail Products
Received 3 nail polishes. I only used the pink one since it is ideal for the office and everyday. The other two colours are more vibrant and one of them is glittery. From the one that I used, it lasted for almost a week, after the third/fourth day it started to chip.
Have you tried any of these products? If yes, what do you think?
That's all for this post,
Until next time,

Review: Essence Color & Go 5 Day Testing.
Hello Beauties,
Hope you’re all
doing great
Last week I
tested out a new nail polish for about 5 days, that I bought a couple of weeks
ago: the Essence Color & Go Nail polish in the color ‘Off to Miami’. I have
been keeping notes on what I think about the product and how it lasted
throughout these 5 days:
Day 1:
First off I
really like this color. Spring is round the corner (even though at the moment its raining in Malta hehe), and bold and bright colors
are back in style.
First impression
as soon as I open the cap is that I was really impressed by the quality and
size of the brush. I like how wide the brush is since it covers a larger
surface area of the nail and I also found that I did fewer mistakes.
Till now, I like
the quality of the product. The color is opaque, it’s not streaky, and it
applies as can been seen in the bottle. I only applied 2 coats, and as one can
notice from the photos the color is as bright as can be. The first picture depicts the 1st coat, and the 2nd picture depicts the 2nd coat.
Day 1 |
Nothing much
changed today; however, the polish on the pointer finger has slightly chipped.
I didn't think much of it since my work involves quite a lot of typing;
therefore I think that that is the cause.
Day 3:
Quite a lot of
chipping today. Also, I found that the color has not remained as vibrant as the
previous two days. It does not hold up that much to the hardships of everyday
life that our hands go through.
Chipping
continued, to the extent that the 5th finger nail has no nail polish
left on it.
Conclusion:
As an overall
opinion after these 5 days, I think that there are much better quality nail
polishes in the market. However, for its inexpensive price (around 2- 2.50
euro), I didn't expect anything grand. Also, for those that like to switch
their nail polish color every 2 to 3 days, I think this product would be ideal.
Regarding the packaging, I like the fact that the cap is the same color as the
actual nail polish. For these reasons, I would recommend this product; however
keep in mind that it does not last as long as other nail polishes.
That’s all for
today,
Until next time,
Take Care,
Jessica xxx

Review:- Essence Legends of the sky nailpolish
Heyy Beauties,
A few weeks ago I purchased several Essence and Catrice products from Tony's Pharmacy in Gzira and I got the Essence Legends of the Sky in the color 'Like Leo's Pilot Jacket' as a free gift, and I decided to try it out.
First off, it is a perfect color for Autumn and Winter. I would say it is a military type of color since it is a mix of Green and Grey. It is quite an opaque color but one coat is not enough to get its full effect. As you can detect from the photo below, the color is not opaque enough after applying only one coat. However, two coats are enough.
I was impressed by the drying time, it dried up in a few minutes, compared to other nail polishes which take a long time to dry.
With regards to the packaging, I think it a bit cheap because the cap does not screw all the way, however I don't mind that much since it was a free gift.
Overall, I really like this product and I recommend it to anyone. Looking forward to try out more of these nail polishes.
Hope this review helped,
Until next time,

Two days ago I visited Tony's Pharmacy, for the first time, and bought some Essence and Catrice products to try them out.
I bought 3 eye shadows, 2 from Essence and 1 from Catrice. The first two are '57, In the clouds' and '32, Jazzed up'.
The Catrice eye shadow is '510, in love with hulk' (love the name hehe)
Next, 2 lipsticks, one from Essence and another from Catrice. The Essence one is a very sheer baby pink color called '01, frosted' and the Catrice lipstick is a very bright coral color called '050, Princess Peach'.

I really needed a new blush therefore I picked up Catrice Multi Color Blush in the color '010, Riviera Rose'. I really love this color and it can also be used as a highlight since it has 4 different colors.
I also wanted to try out Catrice lip glosses therefore I bought Catrice color show in the color '090, No.9 is mine'.
Last but not the least, I bought Essence Long lasting eye pencil, which is a sheer golden color and its called '04, look at me'.
What are your favourite products from Essence and Catrice?

Storage Ideas
Hi Beauties :),
As per you suggestions through our Poll, here are some Storage Ideas.
Earrings
There are a lot of jewelry boxes and cases that one can use. However, personally I like my earring to be hanging and somewhere where I can see them, or else I forget what I have.
Earring Holder |
I bought this earring holder from ebay for a couple of euro and it is really handy and practical. I really like it because It stores quite a lot of earrings. Speaking of which, I need to buy another one since it is becoming quite full.
Necklaces & Bracelets
I used to store my necklaces in a small jewel box however they would always get tangled and then I would end up always wearing the same couple of things. To solve this problem I bought a small handbag holder and attached it to the inside door of my wardrobe. This saved up a lot of space and necklaces do not get tangled anymore.
Small Handbag Holder |
Makeup
I store my makeup according to what they are, for example: foundation, quads and small palettes, mascaras, eyeliners, lip glosses, and lipsticks. I use food containers which can be found at supermarkets or euro shops.
The makeup that I use on an everyday basis I store it in a small makeup case which I found is quite handy if you are in a rush in the morning.
Nail Polish and Perfumes
With regards to perfumes I discard the packaging and store them all in one corner on a metal tray. I call it my “perfume corner”. This way it is easy to identify which perfume you would want to wear and also it creates somewhat of a decoration.
Small Metal Tray |
The same goes for nail polishes; I store them all in one corner in basket like tray. This way everything is in order and organized.
Basket Tray |
How do you store your personal belongings?
From where do you buy your containers and organizational trays?
Till the next post

Nail Polish Reviews
Hello Beauties :)
This post is going to be a review about two nail polishes
that I recently purchased.
The first one is by Essie and it is a limited edition color
called Bikini so Teeny. I
think it is the perfect color for Summer. It is a Lilac color but with a hint
of blue in it. It has a creamy consistency with very tiny sparkles which are
barely noticeable but which give that extra pop to the polish.
This is my first time trying out Essie nail polishes and I
must say that I am impressed. It stayed on for a week without chipping and it
dries out quite quickly. Also they have a wide range of colors to choose from.
Verdict:- High quality nail polishes. Somewhat expensive
when compared to other brands but worth it. I highly recommend this brand.
The next nail polish is by Sally Hansen and it is called Pacific Blue. This color is very
unique and also ideal for the Summer time. It is a blue color but it is not the
usual normal blue that we continually see. It is like a neon blue with purple
undertones to it. I love this color!!
As for the quality I was also impressed by this brand since
the nail polish stayed intact for quite some time. It is a very opaque color
with a creamy consistency.
Verdict:- Great nail polish. I also recommend this brand
since it offers good quality nail polish at reasonable prices.
