Hey Beauties,
I know, this post has been long time coming, I am swamped with lectures, studies and work at the moment and it is only now that I found some time to blog.
As some of you may already know, last February I was invited to attend the Catrice Spring Launch and we were given some products to try out.
Face Products
The first three products are:
1) Colour Correcting Primer: I have yet to try this product out. However, as a first impression from swatching it; it has a green colour to cancel out redness, as its name implies, and it also claims that it is oil free. Which is perfect for oily, acne prone skin and also during the Summer we sweat much more, so an oil free primer is perfect for that time.
2) Translucent Powder: At LAST I found an authentic translucent powder. I cannot tell you how many times I purchase a 'translucent' powder, then I open it and I find that it is coloured powder. To all Make up companies: Translucent means transparent and not with colour. Thank you Catrice for this powder, I really like it and I use it everyday to set my foundation. It did not break me out and my skin remains matte all day.
3) Shimmering Bronzer: I used it the first time last week and I was quite impressed. To be honest, I was somewhat sceptical to try it because I thought that my face would result in being all shimmery and sparkly. However, this bronzer has very fine small shimmers that barely show up, which is perfect for me. Also, it is not that dark, it just creates a sun kissed glow which I look for.
Eye Products
Now on to the eye products:
1) Absolute Eye Colour Pallette in the colour 'F'rosen Yoghurt': I have used this pallette several times now. I almost use it every time I go out. It is perfect to create a subtle natural cranberry look and I find that these colours really complete my eyes. Shadows are pigmented and are quite long lasting. Also, it has a combination of matte and shimmery shadows in it which I rarely find in other pallettes.
2) Absolute Bright Highlighting Pallette in the colour 'Candy Warhol': I use this pallette to highlight. It is a great idea to make a pallette with highlighting combinations to match every eye look. The only downside is that the eye shadow's texture is chalky and after a while that I apply it, it is not there any more.
3) Set of Single Lashes: I have not used this yet
4) Glamour Doll Curl & Volume Mascara: I use this mascara everyday, so I tested it out quite well. It claims that, as its name implies, it curls and volumises at the same time. I have not seen that. I found that it lengthens my lashes and curls them slightly but in terms of volume it fell flat. Also, when I take out the wand from the tube, its like there is no filter at the top to take away the access mascara from the wand, so I almost always end up smearing the mascara on my lid.
Lip Products
1) Ultimate Colour Lipstick in the colour 'Red my Lips': I have not tried this out yet, however when I swatched it, the colour is very opaque and creamy. Looking forward to try it out.
2) Infinite Shine Lipgloss in the colour 'Pink Twice': I applied this lip gloss the first time exactly after the event ended, in my car :) Love this lip gloss, vibrant colour, perfect for Spring. Also, has a nice smell and is very long lasting. An additional upside to this is that it is not sticky.
3) Made to Stay Smoothing Lip Polish in the colour 'Megan Fuchsia': I also use this product almost every time I go out. It is long lasting, bright colour and its finish is like a lip tint. After most of the colour is off, your lips are still stained so no need to reapply as much.
Nail Products
Received 3 nail polishes. I only used the pink one since it is ideal for the office and everyday. The other two colours are more vibrant and one of them is glittery. From the one that I used, it lasted for almost a week, after the third/fourth day it started to chip.
Have you tried any of these products? If yes, what do you think?
That's all for this post,
Until next time,

Catrice PR Event
Heyy Beauties,
Last Thursday I was invited to a Catrice PR event which was held at Level 22 Portomaso. I was sooo excited when I received the invite in the mail, I could not wait for the day to arrive.
At last it did, and I headed out all fancy and groomed up for the event. To be honest, I wasn't sure exactly what to expect...
When I arrived I was greeted with a flute of champagne. The first thing that I noticed was the stand full of Catrice make-up... could not stop staring of course.
As soon as I saw camera flashes, I knew immediately that that was the 'bloggers' corner', so I went that way. I sat on a vacant seat and some new bloggers, whome I never met before, introduced themselves to me, and from then on it was make-up make-up make-up.. These ladies are: Charlene from A Cosmetic Affair, Maya from Blue Jeans and Red Lipstick, Claire from This and That and Lyndsay from Splashes of Looks. Check out their blogs and follow them :)
There were a couple of new Collections on display that have been launched recently. The first one that I noticed was Celtica Collection, which seems to me very Spring oriented with pink and coral shades.. angelic like if you may. The next one is Eve in Bloom, which I think introduced Wintry type of colours but still at the same time bright. I will definitely check these out at one of Catrice's stands.
Other makeup that was on display on all the tables are as seen below:
At the end of the event, we were all given a goodie bag (stay tuned for a haul next week). I could not wait to see what there was inside. As soon as I arrived in my car I had to check and was so happy to get some of the products which I had been eyeing all night.
Thank you Catrice for inviting me and for the products that were given.

February Favourite: Make-up look
Heyy Beauties,
Hope you are all doing great :)
I have decided that instead of listing my favourite products for the month of February, instead I share my favourite make-up look that I have been wearing almost all month. I seem to have lost my appetite to experiment with colours and I'm sticking with the same 3 eye shadows.. it's quite strange. Have you ever felt like this?
Now, on to the make-up look:
First, I start off with Catrice eye shadow in the shade 'Icylicious' from the Ice Cream Collection that came out last Summer. I use this all over the lid, and also as a highlight under my brows.
Then, apply a black Nee eye shadow in the outer corner of my lid.. lightly and not in a smoky eye motion. Just to deepen the look.
Last step I apply a transition shade, in this case Makeup Store eye shadow in the colour 'Ghetto'. This shadow has been a favourite of mine for the past year.. love it.
The only thing that I am changing is my lip colour. Sometimes I apply a bold colour, other times, like in this case, I apply a natural shade. In the below picture, I paired my eye look with a Cinecitta lipstick in the colour '74'.
What is your favourite make-up look?
Do you like experimenting with different colours?
That's all for today,
Take Care,

Makeup Look: Blue and Yellow combination
Hey Beauties,
A couple of weeks ago I attended the Lierac Launch event and I created a blue yellow make up look that I'd like to share with you all :)
Step 1: Applied NYX Jumbo eye shadow pencil in 'Peacock'. I use it as a base for the eye shadow colour to be more vibrant and last longer.
Step 2: Applied Make Up Store eye shadow in 'Aquarius' on top of the previous product, only on half of the eye lid. I applied it in a patting motion so that the colour is as vibrant as can be.
Step 3: Next, applied Catrice eye shadow in the colour 'John Lemon' on the remaining half of the lid and blended the colour with the previous one so that the line in between the colour is reduced as much as possible.
Step 4: To create some depth to the look I applied another Make Up Store colour in 'Ghetto' in the crease. I've noticed that I use this particular product almost every time I do a makeup look. I consider it to be the perfect transition colour for a smoky look and also to match with bright colour, as is in this case.
Step 5: Applied Nee eye shadow in 'Black' in the outer V of the lid and slightly smoked it out.
Step 6: After eye shadow is complete, apply your favourite eye liner and mascara.
Step 7: For the lips: at the moment this is my favourite combination, XXXL Shine in the color 'Nude Kiss', and NYX soft matte lip cream in the colour 'Milan'.
That's all for this post,
Let me know if you try this make up look by sending me a picture on my facebook page, Ghamel link,

Haul: Catrice and Essence
Heyy Beauties,
I have a small haul for you guys today :)
It has been quite some time since I bought some Catrice and Essence makeup, and since I had to stock up on several basics, I decided to visit their stand.
First off, I bought a new setting powder by Essence called Mattifying compact powder in the color 01 'Natural Beige'. I have been using this product for a week now and I have no complaints. It does not cake up the face and is very natural looking. I recommend this product to anyone:
I have been searching for this next product for ages, and at last I found it. It was the last one on the stand and luckily I managed to purchase it. This is the Essence Gel Eyeliner in the color 'Midnight in Paris'. I also, have been using this product for a week, as can be seen from the pictures below, and I must say that I like it even better then the MUA Gel Eyeliner (Review HERE). It applies so smoothly and the color is blackest black. Love it!!
The last two "extra" products that I bought are the Essence Color & Go Nail Polish in the color '109 Off to Miami'. I haven't tried this yet, however I really like the color and it would also be a perfect Spring color:
The last product is a Catrice Limited Edition Lip Cream in the color 'Rest in the Forest' from the collection 'Siberian Call'. I am always looking around for new and different colors which I do not already own, and this was one of them. It is a versatile color, which can be worn both for work or school, or coupled with a bright lip color to tone it down.
Overall, I am satisfied with all the products that I bought, Let me know what you think if you have already tried any of these products,
Until next time,
Take Care,
Jessica :)

Review:- Essence Legends of the sky nailpolish
Heyy Beauties,
A few weeks ago I purchased several Essence and Catrice products from Tony's Pharmacy in Gzira and I got the Essence Legends of the Sky in the color 'Like Leo's Pilot Jacket' as a free gift, and I decided to try it out.
First off, it is a perfect color for Autumn and Winter. I would say it is a military type of color since it is a mix of Green and Grey. It is quite an opaque color but one coat is not enough to get its full effect. As you can detect from the photo below, the color is not opaque enough after applying only one coat. However, two coats are enough.
I was impressed by the drying time, it dried up in a few minutes, compared to other nail polishes which take a long time to dry.
With regards to the packaging, I think it a bit cheap because the cap does not screw all the way, however I don't mind that much since it was a free gift.
Overall, I really like this product and I recommend it to anyone. Looking forward to try out more of these nail polishes.
Hope this review helped,
Until next time,

How to: Carnival/Halloween Look
Hey Beauties,
A few weeks ago one of my best friends visited Venice and gave me a traditional souvenir; a Mask. It is really beautiful and it inspired me to create an eye look based upon it. I think it would be suitable for Halloween and Carnival, for those who do not want to apply exaggerated makeup.
Step 1:- Apply concealer foundation and powder as needed. Check out how I apply foundation by visiting this link HERE.
Step 2:- apply a light purple color on the lid. I used Essence eye shadow in the color 'In the Clouds'. Simply tap color on to achieve a more opaque color. Leave the inner corner bare for the highlight color.
Step 3:- Apply a dark shimmering purple in the crease and also in the outer corner and blend it out. I applied MAC eye shadow in the color 'Beauty Marked'. Make sure to blend this color with the previous color on the lid for a gradient effect.
Step 4:- Next I applied a light purple shimmer in the inner corner mixed with a silver color for an intensified highlight effect. For the shimmering light purple I used BarryM Dazzle Dust in the color '59' and for the silver color I used the color 'Tinsel' from the Divine Limited Edition Sleek Palette.
Step 5:- I applied purple and fuchsia glitter in the center of my eyelid. I used the fuchsia as a pop of color since the look is quite dark. I used 'Festive' and 'Cranberry' from the Divine Limited Edition Sleek Palette.
Step 6:- Apply a black eyeliner and mascara. I used MUA eyeliner in the color 'Underground' and Catrice 'Fake It' Mascara. As and added touch I applied a silver glitter eyeliner on top of the black eyeliner, I used a Body Shop eyeliner 'Define & Sparkle'.
Step 7:- I applied also the same sequence of colors underneath my eyes and the silver color as a brow bone highlight.
That's the Finished eye look,
Hope you like it, any requests feel free to email us and add us on Facebook HERE

August & September Favorites
Hey Beauties,
Sorry for the lack of posting but both Rachel and I are very busy at the moment with our work and studies. But bear with us we are trying our best to cope :). So today I have a day off, therefore I decided to post my August and September Favorites. In August I didn't have that much favorites therefore I decided to accumulate them for this month. I have 5 favorite products this month:
First off, my most favorite product is the Essence Long Lasting eye pencil in the color 'Look at me'. I really like this product, it is perfect as an eye highlighter. At the moment I am getting only a couple hours of sleep because I have to study; I found this eye pencil perfect to make my eyes look awake and less red. I apply it in the inner tear duct coupled with a black eyeliner on the lid and some mascara. Also, it can also be used as a base: Perfect! Swatches of this product can be found HERE.
Next up is the Catrice Fake It Mascara. This is a new found favorite. I bought it a couple of weeks ago, however I have been applying it ever since. At first I didn't like it that much, but then after applying approximately 3 coats my lashes are longer and more voluminous. Also, check this wand out!!! I have never seen anything like this, it is perfect for building up volume and to coat even the smallest of lashes. Great Product!
The third product is Deborah Milano Eye Design Quad in 'Each and Every Rose'. I have been using this quad for work because it contains natural colors. I really like these colors and are perfect for any eye color. Also, the eye shadows are quite pigmented and not powdery. This quad is a must have for those who are still starting with applying eye shadows.
The next product is Catrice Skin Finish Compact Power in the color '010 Transparent'. I really like this product since it matifies my skin and lasts quite a long time. Another thing is that it is quite a large product and very inexpensive, I bought it for only 4.50 euro. Another great product.
Last but not the least, is a perfume. I have numerous perfumes, however lately I have been loving Harajuku Lil' Angels in Lovers. It is a sweet scent with a hint of vanilla. It is not an overpowering smell, therefore it is great as an everyday scent. Also, the packaging is so cute :). The downside is that it is very small, only 1.0 fl oz or 30ml.
Have you tried any of these products?
That is all for today, until next time

Catrice & Essence Haul 2
Heyy Beauties,
So around 2 weeks ago my friends and I decided to visit Gozo and whilst there we went to Arkadia. Of course Rachel and I and our other friend Gail ended up purchasing quite a lot of Catrice and Essence products.
On my part, I really needed a few basic items which I had ran out of:
The first product that I picked up is the Catrice Skin Finish Compact Powder in the lightest color '010 Transparent'. In my previous blog post I mentioned that I wanted to try out a new finishing powder and therefore I decided to try the Catrice one out. Keeping visiting our blog for a review.
Next 2 products are the Catrice False Lashes Mascara 'Fake it!' and Essence Long lasting Eye Pencil in the color 'Black Fever'. I still haven't used the Mascara, however my current mascara is drying out so I thought I better have one ready to use.

I needed a new blending brush and I found the Catrice Double ended Smokey Eyes Brush. I really like the Blending part of the brush. It is small enough to create a V shape and big enough to blend the color out. Also it is quite soft.
The last 3 non- basic items are the: Catrice Ultimate Shine Lipstick in the color '180 Meet Violeta' (right), Catrice Nectar Gloss from the Colibri Collecting in the color 'C03 Gorgeous Blossom' (left) and an Essence eye shadow in the color '55 Shrimp me up' (under).
That's all for today, join our blog for future reviews of these products,
Until next time,
