Review:- MUA Gel Eyeliner

Hey Beauties,

It is a great idea to try new products every now and then. Therefore I decided to try out MUA Gel eyeliner. In fact, a couple of days ago I bought MUA Gel eyeliner in ‘Underground’.

This product claims that:

“They are intensely pigmented and are completely smudge proof once the product has dried.”

I have to say that I concur whole heartedly with this statement. This Gel eyeliner is pigmented and does not smudge. It has a creamy consistency and glides on nicely

It has a small eyeliner brush embedded in its cap. The brush is not that bad however I prefer using the Elf Eyeliner brush.

Apart from the color underground, it comes with three other shades: Fairground, On Move and Tribe. It also is a very affordable product, I paid approximately 3 to 4 euro including shipping.

The downturn of this product is that it is very small. From the pictures I expected it to be bigger. However, the fact that it is a good quality product and affordable at the same time makes it a very good purchase. I recommend this product to anyone.

What are your view regarding this product?

Have you tried it before?

Until next time,

Benefits of Olive Oil

Hi Beauties,

I use a lot of natural products in my beauty regime and decided to share my remidies with you. One of products I cannot live wthout is olive oil. It is pure and natural and healthy for the skin and body. From my personal experience I recommend using Extra Virgin oilve oil since it's more natural and scentless.

Regardless where olive oil is applied – Face or body, it provides moisture to keep the skin looking healthy and beautiful. This natural moisturizer is best used on damp skin, since it reduces greasiness.

Olive oil works with dry and oily skin types since everyone has to moisturize. However, if one has acne-prone skin, one has to use olive oil in smaller amounts, due to the fact that is can lead up to blocked pores.

Exfoliator

If one has dry and scaly skin, one should mix some sea salt, with the olive oil, and gently message it into the affected areas, to remove the dead skin, and enrich the layer beneath it.

Nails

For those who have dry nails and cuticles, olive oil is the answer. Simply, rub the cuticle area and around the nail, with a few drops of olive oil. This provides the cuticles to stay moist, and thus giving the nails a natural shine.

Eye makeup remover

One can simply add a few drops of olive oil onto a cotton pad and gently remove eye makeup without producing any irritation to the delicate skin around the eye. If regularly used, olive oil shall soften the skin, and smooth out any wrinkles. Then, procede with toner to remove the oil residue.

Hair care

When olive oil used on hair and scalp, it could provide the benefits of a deep conditioner. This is done, by coating one’s hair with olive oil, and leaving it for at least 30 minutes – The longer it’s left onto the hair, the hair shall be smoother and shiner. I, personally leave mine during the night. Afterwards, shampoo regularly twice to remove the film of olive oil, and continue with conditioner.

Avoid stretch-marks, treat dried-out skin and eczema by rubbing oil into affected region straight from the bottle.

Hope you found it helpful.

Review: NYX double sided eye pencil

Hi Beauties,

One of my favourite online makeup brands is NYX. It is amazingly cheap
and good quality. Browsing through the NYX cometics website I found these pencils in the clearing section and decided to try them out.  This product is discontinued on the NYX website,  but it can be found on cherryculture and joy cosmetics on ebay. (Links will be linked down below).  The Double Sided is an eye Liner & Shadow which makes it easier to create an easy and fast smoky look. The brown eyeshadow side is smooth, glides on and wears well without creasing with a primer.   However, the black has a hard texture but if one rolls it between their hands it will be softer and easy to apply. I use both sides as an eye liner. It stays on the waterline for good 2 hours if set with an eye shadow. I like the brown side more since it gives more of a natural look instead of harsh black. If I were to see them in different colours, I would buy them in a heart beat.

Catrice & Essence Haul 2

Heyy Beauties,

So around 2 weeks ago my friends and I decided to visit Gozo and whilst there we went to Arkadia. Of course Rachel and I and our other friend Gail ended up purchasing quite a lot of Catrice and Essence products.

On my part, I really needed a few basic items which I had ran out of:

The first product that I picked up is the Catrice Skin Finish Compact Powder in the lightest color '010 Transparent'. In my previous blog post I mentioned that I wanted to try out a new finishing powder and therefore I decided to try the Catrice one out. Keeping visiting our blog for a review.

Next 2 products are the Catrice False Lashes Mascara 'Fake it!' and Essence Long lasting Eye Pencil in the color 'Black Fever'. I still haven't used the Mascara, however my current mascara is drying out so I thought I better have one ready to use.

I needed a new blending brush and I found the Catrice Double ended Smokey Eyes Brush. I really like the Blending part of the brush. It is small enough to create a V shape and big enough to blend the color out. Also it is quite soft.

The last 3 non- basic items are the: Catrice Ultimate Shine Lipstick in the color '180 Meet Violeta' (right), Catrice Nectar Gloss from the Colibri Collecting in the color 'C03 Gorgeous Blossom' (left) and an Essence eye shadow in the color '55 Shrimp me up' (under).

That's all for today, join our blog for future reviews of these products,

Until next time,

Take Care

Foundation Routine and How to

Hey Beauties :)

So today I am going to share my Foundation Routine. This routine consists of 4 main steps.

4 main steps

Step 1:- Very important to always start with cleansed and moisturized skin. This will help the foundation to apply smooth and evenly over the face. First I start with the ELF Color concealer (bottom left). I apply the yellow concealer under my eyes to conceal any shadows and the green to conceal blemishes, redness and other imperfections.

Step 2:- Next I apply beige (normal concealer) (bottom right) over the color concealer so that the colored concealer is blended even more in the skin and not risk the color to show.

Step 3:- This is the main step. I apply the foundation (upper left) with the ELF stippling blush in a circular motion all over the face. I use a circular motion so that the foundation is buffed in the skin. This will make the foundation look more natural and without any creases. Always remember to also apply the foundation to your neck so that they match and no foundation lines are visible.

Step 4:- Last step, set the foundation with powder. I use ArtDeco Pressed Powder (upper right) with a kabuki brush and apply it also in a circular motion.

With this routine I find that I end up with flawless skin, however keep in mind that certain huge 'monsters' are somewhat difficult to cover up completely haha.

Also, I want to try a different setting powder, what would you recommend?

I hope this has helped,

Until next time

Take Care

Jessica :)
