Hey Beauties,
Hope all of you are doing fine :)
So lately I have been reading quite a lot of Empties Tags, and I decided to do it myself. I try to use up as much of my products as possible before buying anything new. Let's start:
1) Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
I cannot rave enough about this foundation. Its the best foundation I have ever used; its takes care of my skin, doesn't clog my pores, really good coverage, and it has a natural finish. Of course, I repurchased this product and I pair it with Healthy Mix Concealer which is also a good product.
2) ELF Blush
This is the very first blush that I succeeded in using up.. :) Overall, I like ELF Blushes, they have the right pigmentation and there are a variety of finishes to suit everybody's tastes.
3) Max Factor Powder
I wasn't that impressed with this product. Partly it was my fault because I did not choose the right shade for my skin. However, I didn't like the feel of it on my face and I found that it settles in fine lines. Its not a product that I am considering in repurchasing.
4) Essence Finishing Powder
Unlike the previous product, I liked this powder. Sets foundation perfectly and doesn't cake up during the day. Also, it is very inexpensive, would definitely repurchase this product.
5) Tresemme Hair Spray in Firm Hold
I have been repurchasing and using this product for about two years now, love it. However, I decided to try other hair sprays. I have been reading reviews and watching tutorials while using Elnette Hair Spray for ages, now I decided to try it out myself :)
6) Bioderma Sensibio H20
For those of you who unfortunately have oily and acne prone skin, this is a great product for you to try out. It can be used instead of a usual face wash. It cleanses the skin from makeup whilst at the same time reduces and prevents inflammation, and restores the natural Ph balance of the skin. This is the third bottle that I have been using, and I recommend it whole heatedly to anyone.
Those are all the products that I have used up in the past month,
I tag everyone to do it, I would love to know your views on products that you tried out,
Until Next time,
Take Care,
Jessica xxx

Collective HAUL
Heyy Beauties,
How are you all doing? :)
As promised on our Facebook page, here is a Collective Haul of products I bought online.
First off, I had been contemplating for quite a some time, to buy some false lashes and good lash glue. So, I went searching on e-bay last week and found the Duo Lash glue, that everyone raves about on Youtube and some lashes. I found the glue for 7 euro including shipping, and 10 pairs of lashes for about 3 euro with shipping. Great deal in my opinion.
Last Saturday I was browsing around the ELF Cosmetics site and I noticed that they were offering free shipping during that weekend, therefore I could not pass up that opportunity and bought some ELF products, since it was about 6 months from my last ELF purchase.
My first two choices were two lipsticks, Gypsy and Flirtatious. Love both colors and I have to say I was impressed by their quality; very pigmented, apply smoothly and also have a pleasant smell.
Gypsy and Flirtatious |
The following are swatches of these two lipsticks:
Gypsy |
Flirtatious |
Then I chose two blushers and a bronzer because I noticed that I really do not have almost any blushers and bronzers, and the only one I had broke. The first blush is Blushing, then Bronzed and Sun Kissed.
The following are the swatches, in order mentioned above:
Next, I decided to try out the Makeup Remover Pen, that Dyna at Dyna's Random Blog, raves about, and I must say it really does work. Last but not the least, I picked up and Angled Blush Brush because I needed one for contouring.
Those were all the products that I bought,
Hope you enjoyed this post,
Until Next time,
Take Care,
Jessica :)

Review: NYX double sided eye pencil
Hi Beauties,
One of my favourite online makeup brands is NYX. It is
amazingly cheap
and good quality. Browsing through the NYX cometics website I found
these pencils in the clearing section and decided to try them out. This product is discontinued on the NYX website, but it can be found on cherryculture and joy cosmetics on
ebay. (Links will be linked down below).
The Double Sided is an eye Liner & Shadow which makes it easier
to create an easy and fast smoky look. The brown eyeshadow side is smooth,
glides on and wears well without creasing with a primer. However, the black has a hard texture but if
one rolls it between their hands it will be softer and easy to apply. I use
both sides as an eye liner. It stays on the waterline for good 2 hours if set
with an eye shadow. I like the brown side more since it gives more of a natural
look instead of harsh black. If I were to see them in different colours, I
would buy them in a heart beat.

Foundation Routine and How to
Hey Beauties :)
So today I am going to share my Foundation Routine. This
routine consists of 4 main steps.
4 main steps |
Step 1:- Very important to always start with cleansed and moisturized
skin. This will help the foundation to apply smooth and evenly over the face.
First I start with the ELF Color concealer (bottom left). I apply the yellow
concealer under my eyes to conceal any shadows and the green to conceal
blemishes, redness and other imperfections.
Step 2:- Next I apply beige (normal concealer) (bottom right) over the
color concealer so that the colored concealer is blended even more in the skin
and not risk the color to show.
Step 3:- This is the main step. I apply the foundation (upper left) with
the ELF stippling blush in a circular motion all over the face. I use a
circular motion so that the foundation is buffed in the skin. This will make
the foundation look more natural and without any creases. Always remember to also
apply the foundation to your neck so that they match and no foundation lines
are visible.
Step 4:- Last step, set the foundation with powder. I use
ArtDeco Pressed Powder (upper right) with a kabuki brush and apply it also in a circular
motion.
With this routine I find that I end up with flawless skin, however keep in mind that certain huge 'monsters' are somewhat difficult to cover up completely haha.
Also, I want to try a different setting powder, what would you recommend?
I hope this has helped,
Until next time
Take Care

Review: NYX Cream Blush
Hello
Beauties,
The
cream blushes have 3.5g of product which is a fair amount for the
price. I have the shades CB 02 Natural and CB08 Hot Pink.
Natural
is a light nude-pink shade hence the name Natural, while Hot
flush is a fuchsia colour
and really goes bright on the cheek. The cream blush is really
creamy, soft and one should use a minimal amount. The blushes add the
right flush to the cheeks without looking heavy or obvious that one
is wearing blush. After applying a face primer, I use my finger -
dotting it to my cheeks for a natural effect, then blending it with a
small stipple brush. Afterwards, I set the cream blush with a powder
blush or a pressed powder for staying power. Those who have dry skin
may leave this step out since it creates a very dewy finish. It lasts
all day and is very buildable and
natural-looking.
There
are a lot of shade to choose from; ranging from natural to reds,
which can compliment every skin tone. These blushes do not have any
scent. Nyx Cosmetics can be found on
http://www.cherryculture.com/
.
For our maltese viewers both websites ship to Malta. *yay*.

Care,
Rachel

What's in my everyday make up bag?
Hi
beauties,
I
keep my everyday's essentials in a small Makeup bag on my vanity,
since it's much easier to reach in the morning rather than going through loads of products.
E.L.F Mineral Infused Face Primer
|
This
primer is amzing. It helps to keep oil at bay, therefore no
retocuhing is needed throughout the day.
|
I
use this concealer under my eyes to conceal my under eye circles.
Urban
Decay Primer Potion
|
I
use this primer in order to keep my eyeshadow stay put throughout the
day.
Sigma
F30 brush
|
With
the sigma F30 (a large powder brush with the powder), works perfectly
to set my concealer and mattify my face.
|
Inglot 330M (Matte) |
This eye
shadow is a light beige. I use it in the inner corners and brow
bone.
Eyelash
curler
|
Rimmel
Glam Eyes Day 2 Night mascara
|
I'd curl my eyelashes first, then put on mascara.
NYX
Blush in the shade PB03 Angel

I
apply my blush with a small stipple brush in order to achieve a

July Favorites
Hello Beauties :)
Here are my July Favorites. There are a few products that I
like; however there are 5 products which have exceeded my expectations.
The first product is Essence Gel liner in the color Berlin
Rocks 03. First and foremost I love the color since it suits my eye color and
also I prefer it from straight up Black. The color is a purple color with very
tiny shimmers throughout. It has a very creamy consistency and it is highly
pigmented. I was also impressed because it stayed on all day and it did not
smudge at all. I really like this product and I would recommend it to anyone.
Essence Gel Liner: Berlin Rocks |
ELF Angled Eyeliner Brush |
I apply this Gel Liner with ELF angled eyeliner brush. It is
a very precise brush therefore you can apply it as thick or thin as you want. Also
the price beats them all, a quality brush for only 3 sterling J. I think that this
brush and the gel liner make the perfect pair.
The next product is Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara. This is one of the best mascaras that I have tried so far. Its formula
is perfect for elongating the lashes and building up volume. Also the brush is
neither too large and neither too thin therefore it can reach even the smallest
of lashes.
Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara |
Another Maybelline product is the Maybelline Color Tattoo in
the color Turquoise Forever. The first thing that caught my eye is the intensity
of the color. Personally I love blues and this product’s color is perfect. It
has quite a creamy consistency and it applies evenly without tugging your
eyelids. It also lasts quite a long period of time and it is perfect as a base
for the eye shadow.
Maybelline Color Tattoo: Turquoise Forever |
The last product is a hair product and it is CHI Silk
Infusion. I apply this product at the ends of my hair while it is still damp,
before blow drying it. It is a very good heat protecting product and it leaves
your hair shiny and silky. I have the smallest bottle of this product and it is
not a cheap product however this small bottle has lasted me more than a year,
since only a pea size amount goes a long way.

Hope you liked this blog post.

Sephora duo eyeshadow review
Today,
I will be reviewing 2 SEPHORA duo eyeshadow.
Hot Brown No3 |
Gorgeous Pink No4 |
I
own Hot Brown No3 and Gorgeous Pink No4. Each duo was
on sale for €3 so I couldn't pass this
up. The packaging is very sleek and sturdy. According, to the SEPHORA
website these shadows are described as ''A duet of highly pigmented,
long-lasting, exclusive shadows that reinvent color intensity''. In
fact these shadow are highly pigmented and true to colour however not
long lasting as stated. These eyeshadows creases without a primer
within 2-3 hrs of wear. With Too Faced Shadow Insurance (an
eyeshadow primer) the eyeshadow held for 8+ hrs. I didn't experience
any fallout with these shadows. These eyeshadows blend very well with
each other as well as other brands shadows. All shadows have the
right amount of shimmer.
I
would recommend any duo from this collection.
